My Story

My story is an interesting one. When I was 26 years old, I went on a pilgrimage to Medugorje where I met a catholic priest. He had a charism for healing and went by the name of Fr. Peter Mary Rookey.

I volunteered at his International Compassion Ministry, and through his great example and holiness, I was moved to return to school and study Theology, doing a deep dive into both faith and religion.

I received my first Theology degree from Steubenville, and after that, I was on my way to Rome to explore religious life. It didn't quite work out as I had hoped, but I chose to remain in Rome and continued my studies at the Angelicum, where I obtained an STB and an STM in Theology.

Rome was extraordinary, and four amazing years later, I returned to the United States where I began writing and published my first book. Since then, I have used writing as a vehicle to reflect, process, educate and inspire. Much of what I have written since, I have turned into short audiobooks for convenience. I have given talks when invited, and do my best crusading through the written and spoken word.

If you spend some time here, you will quickly figure out, listening to these audios, that my interest is in spiritual formation and clarifying the wrong understanding that we have because of the dominant culture, not because we are leaning on two thousand years of wisdom and tradition but because we are living according to our own opinions and prejudices.

I hope to enlighten you regarding much of this, and give you an appreciation for catholic spirituality.
